The Peace Bridge Plaza Expansion project is largely asphalt, concrete, a 519-car parking garage and a 12,000 sq. ft. (first floor) Duty-Free Store.
The paved-over kidney-shaped blob alone is bigger than…
• HSBC Arena Coca Cola Field combined
• the History Museum and everything behind it, to Delaware Ave.
Plus… The duty-free store, parking garage and additional surface parking between them nearly doubles that footprint.
Overall, the expanded plaza – not including local roadways – is more than 1/2 the Buffalo State College campus east of Grant St.
Do you really want them to “Just BUILD IT” alongside our waterfront our park and the little bit of a neighborhood they don‘t take by Eminent Domain?
This is the 21st Century, not the Robert Moses Era.
Get the Trucks OFF this bridge and onto a better solution!
